Math Support

Do you need a little extra help with your Math coursework? Let us help you Move Mountains and ease math anxiety with tutoring in Math Support. We provide drop-in tutoring for all students. You'll have access to small study groups, graphing calculators, and online resources. Use computers for MyMathLab or get assistance with graphing calculators. You'll work with ACC faculty and students who love (and excel) in math.

How to Get Help with Math Courses

Tutoring is offered by a variety of ACC Math Tutors both in-person and virtually through Zoom. For our regularly scheduled in-person tutoring, just stop by our space in the Library (M2570), no appointment needed. These drop-in sessions will likely have multiple students and are not intended to be one-on-one. If you would prefer one-on-one tutoring, please review our virtual tutoring times.

For virtual tutoring, you must sign up for your tutoring sessions through Navigate360 by clicking on “Appointments” and then clicking “Schedule an Appointment.” Select your math class and then the time that works in your schedule. View our step-by-step instructions about how to schedule your appointment through Navigate360.

Make sure to sign up early and come with prepared questions to receive the most efficient help.

What to bring to each tutoring session:

Class notes and any other helpful resources you have from regularly attending class.
A list of your questions to ask the tutor. Make sure to try each problem on your own first and bring your work so the tutor can help you understand the process.
A positive attitude and an open mind that views mistakes as an opportunity for growth and understanding.
A willingness to try new things and be an active participant in the learning process.

Our ACC tutors are the best resource for help since they are familiar with course content, faculty, and specific knowledge about our campus.

In addition to the support offered by ACC tutors, NetTutor allows currently registered ACC students to meet with a qualified tutor outside of regular tutoring hours. You can find the NetTutor link in your class when you log into D2L, under the Resources tab of any course. Students are limited to 5 hours of NetTutor services per week.
